Because of the accuracy of the 3DIO binaural microphones, I used the Foley room at uni to record with them. I have never used these microphones before but I always felt intrigued by them. I felt that these microphones would be appropriate for this audio paper as they can accurately portray the details of voice even when whispering, which was something I wanted to experiment with.
I recorded straight into Ableton through a Scarlett Focusrite, panning the correlating channels left and right. This meant that when wearing headphones I could hear an accurate representation of the microphones recording. I also linked the channels in Ableton so each microphone would record in unison, this made editing the vocal much easier.
The left and right microphones were set to the corresponding channels to be most effective.

This particular recording session was done before I finalised my script, I found reading out the draft script a useful tool in realising what to keep and what to change. Some sentences were overly wordy and hard to read but I was unaware of this until performing the script. I used the recording as a placeholder for the final script in Ableton to make it easier to add the non-vocal sound.
